Case study
Pricing by product line at a commercial bakery
Gross margin from 31 to 40 percent after pricing by product line and cutting two unprofitable accounts.
A commercial bakery, 60 people
Took: Eight months

What happened
The bakery sold to ninety accounts at one price list written in 2019. Nobody knew which products made money once delivery was counted.
We costed every product line and every route. Twelve products and two large accounts were losing money on each order. The owner repriced nine, dropped three, and renegotiated one account.
Margin moved from 31 to 40 percent in eight months, on slightly lower revenue. The Monday page now shows margin by line, and the sales lead uses it to quote.
